Yuba County’s Office of Emergency Services program to help residents prepare for all kinds of disasters.

 

Cal Fire

The Department of Forestry and Fire Protection serves and safeguards the people and protects the property and resources of California.The have information on wildfire preparation and evacuations – their Ready, Set, Go! Campaign (also linked above).

Cal Fire Nevada-Yuba-Placer Unit (Cal Fire NEU)

Yuba County’s Cal Fire Unit. You can follow them on Facebook. They protect people and their property from wildfire, and also issue permits for prescribed fires during wildfire season.

Foothill Fire Protection District

Foothill Fire Protection District sits in the Yuba county foothills 30 miles north-east of Marysville. Our district consists of 112 square miles and serves the communities of Brownsville, Challenge, Rackerby, Strawberry Valley as well as Automatic and mutual aid agreements with Forbestown, Clipper Mills, La Porte, Bangor, Dobbins and Oregon House.

Yuba Watershed Protection & Fire Safe Council

The Yuba Watershed Protection and Fire Safe Council is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) community-based group consisting of concerned citizens and local, state and federal fire professionals working together with county government, law enforcement, professional foresters, local timber companies and resource conservation groups to contribute to the following: protecting property and lives, maintain Yuba County forest health, prevent wildfire where possible and minimize effect of wild fire.
